Diagnostic tools that are most often used are visual and tactile procedures with which the health of a complete oral cavity is controlled and diseases like caries, periodontal diseases and diseases affecting the mucous membrane are detected.
In many cases radiographic procedures are used as a helping tool. Radiographic techniques are important in planning prosthodontic and implant therapy, detecting growths in bones or residual teeth which cannot be seen with the naked eye. Also, they enable detecting caries on contact areas between teeth which are difficult to see and touch by using visual and tactile diagnostic techniques.
In diagnostics we use the most modern RTG device and a radiovisiography device. We own RTG RVG device which displays image on the screen within seconds with 10 times less radiation than a classic RTG photo.
